In Slovakia, this year’s season of theater and circus festivals starts with the third annual Cirkul’art taking place in the center of Bratislava where the Medická Zahrada park offers an ideal site not only for a leisurely stroll but also for setting up a circus tent which is exactly what is going to happen there at the end of May.
The festival program includes paid performances in the circus tent which include a trampoline show by Cirq’ulation Locale, a performance by the puppet and theater duo Silvia Laniado and Martina Soragna, an appearance of Australian comedian Matt Yates, a piece by Le Collectif de la Bascule (acrobats and graduates of the prestigious CNAC circus school), the latest creation by (bra)Tři v Tricku entitled Plovárna and more. The other part of the festival is an outdoors program in the park which is free and offers entertainment mostly for children. There will be stilt walkers, jugglers, clowns and much more.
