Long Vehicle Circus is unique in the Czech Republic thanks to its combination of walking on high stilts and dance, acrobatics, mime and contemporary clown art. The project started in the second half of 2009 when we concluded that just walking on stilts and living with out heads up in the clouds wasn’t enough. Under the direction of Adam Renč, this group of graduates of Prague’s AMU (Academy of Performing Arts) created their first stilt show which premiered at the Czech national day at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, China. Long Vehicle Circus performances differ from regular stilt-waling shows in the quality of the performers and the necessary assumption that each of our numbers has a message. Therefore, Long Vehicle Circus is definitely among the representatives of contemporary circus in the Czech Republic.
Long Vehicle Circus is produced by ART Prometheus and its artistic quality is guaranteed by Jiří N. Jelínek and Adam Renč.
