Cirqueon – A Center For Contemporary Circus offers facilities for creating new performances. Cirqueon cooperates as a co-producer, so that Zahrada o.p.s., the operator of Cirqueon, becomes a partner of the new performance project.
Our support takes the form of artistic residencies offered to partner professional artists who can use the Cirqueon space for their work. We also offer promotion of the newly created projects in the Czech Republic and abroad, production consulting and administrative support.
In 2011, we were approached by Czech dancer and performer Alena Dittrichová who works on a long-term basis in Portugal. She is preparing an ambitious Czech-Portugal project to be premiered at the Letní Letná festival in 2011. In 2003, Alena Dittrichová was won the Sazka Award in the Dance and Ballet category.
Apart from this project, we would like to support the creation of smaller-scale performances by jugglers, dancers and performers by offering them artistic residencies.
